Project Introduction

At first, We carried out the studies of the second stage of designing the water supply network of Ares city garden, according to the contract, with an area of ​​about 102 hectares. This area is located in East Azarbaijan province, Jolfa city. These studies include determining the water needs of the design gardens as well as the green spaces of the main boulevards and town squares. In addition, the design of the water supply network to the green gardens has also been done. Moreover, The number of villa garden plots in the plan is 863 plots.

The purpose of the project

The purpose of implementing the water supply network plan for Ares city garden is to provide water to the city’s gardens and its green space by drip irrigation method. Additionally, the implementation of a drip irrigation plan in the lands of the town will increase irrigation efficiency and save water consumption. Also, the use of a modern irrigation network will facilitate the operation of the project.

Choosing droppers and arranging them

By choosing 4 drippers of 4 liters per hour and considering 5 hours of irrigation, it will be possible to supply water to garden plants. Based on this, the system is divided into three irrigation shifts. This division is such that each irrigation shift will work for 5 hours. Additionally, Considering the less need for green space compared to gardens, to prevent water wastage, the number of droppers for each plant should be reduced. It is also necessary to reduce the working hours of the green space. Based on the calculations, the working hours of the green space network are estimated to be 2.5 hours. Therefore, two shifts of the green space network will work in each shift of the garden network. It is worth mentioning that the type of droppers must be press type and with constant water flow in the working pressure range of 5 to 40 meters.

All in all, Abad Pey Paydar will increase irrigation efficiency and optimize water consumption by implementing a water supply network to the Aras city garden to supply water to the town’s gardens and its green space through drip irrigation.
